9 meters=1.5 meters

The “No smoking within 9 meters of the entrance” signs outside big “smoke-free” buildings make me laugh.

 

Why?

 

Because no one pays attention to them…unless I have miscalculated and 9 meters is my arm span. (For the record, I am not an albatross.)

 

People have a right to have a butt- just as non-smokers have the right not to suck in second or third hand smoke. I don’t know what the solution is but there has to be a compromise, right?
