Score One for Art!
I only caught a snippet of this clip on the evening news last night.
Three museums/galleries pooled resources to purchase (for an undisclosed sum) a collection of Canadian art that had been amassed by a Canadian collector living in England. The curators were incredibly excited to show the reporter some of the pieces acquired- I was excited to get a glimpse into the catacombs of the gallery where often 70-80% of a gallery’s treasures are stored.
My first thought when this story ended was whether Harper’s head exploded when he heard about the purchase…
