Horrific
Instead of an alarm clock we set the television in the living room to wake us up in the morning.
If I am very groggy, what I hear is sometimes incorporated into my dreams. This morning I heard something absolutely horrific but I wasn’t sure if it was real or imagined.
Unfortunately, it was not my imagination.
The bodies of 21 babies were found on the banks of a river near Beijing. The parents of these children could not afford a proper burial so they paid some people at the hospital to take care of the bodies.
I don’t have the full story but they were just dumped into the river. Some were in medical waste bags and some still had their I.D. bracelets on.
The pictures were obscured but you could tell these were infants.
This is the kind of thing that makes you lose faith in humanity.
I don’t understand how anyone could do what they did. You hear about the problem with corruption in China but this takes it to a whole new level.
How does someone come to the conclusion that this was okay?
I wonder who found the bodies? I can’t imagine being that person.
Have they informed the families of the babies that could be identified? To lose a child and then to realize they were treated in this manner…. I would have nightmares.
I’ll probably have nightmares tonight anyway.
