Never Say Never

A friend of mine, who is a wedding planner, forwarded a link to some people in the business who may have just forced me to rethink my long-held views on wedding videos.

Damn you!

They always seem like the cheesiest of homemade movies- only much more costly. Second in cheese (perhaps) only to the slide shows that we used to watch- of my Dad’s nature photography.  They were mind-numbingly dull- though I might appreciate them more as an adult.

Do people really break out the old wedding video when company comes? Or when they are bored and have nothing else better to do? How likely is it that I would ever watch a video of my own (as yet, still theoretical) wedding?

But now I am not so sure. The company is Still Motion and they do amazing work. I couldn’t believe it. The production value is incredible. Of course it helps that the couples featured are gorgeous. Some of the people featured remind me of the actors you see on commercials for eHarmony.

I am not 100% convinced that I would want to see a video of my “big day.” I don’t even like to be photographed- but if my wedding video looked like the snippets on the website, I just might take back my never and force my even more theoretical children to watch it with a big bowl of popcorn and lots of sugary snacks.
