Scent Assault
On my way into work this morning I was stopped at a light for a fraction of a second before the walk sign came on and I was literally blow back by this overwhelming scent of cheap cologne.
I nearly gagged.
One should not be allowed to bathe in perfume. The rule of thumb is that you should not be aware of the scent unless you are within a few inches of someone- it should be that intimate and personal. Well, that was a big fail on this gentleman’s part.
To be assailed in such a way in -11 degree weather (before wind chill) in gusty conditions at a distance greater than eight feet is alarming. I am sure I was not the recipient of the full force of the cologne. I would have been overcome if I had been stuck on an elevator with him.
When in doubt, less is definitely more!
